Income Requirements for Global Talent Visa Subclass 858

Applicants ought to have exceptional abilities to attract a salary at or above the Fair Work high-income threshold of AUD 153,600. In assessing this, the Australian government will consider candidates:

Ph.D. graduates and certain Ph.D. students may still be eligible to apply for the GTI Program if they can demonstrate exceptional talent and international recognition in a target sector. In addition, Ph.D. students who are nearing completion of their degree must be able to demonstrate they had a record of achievement before commencing their Ph.D. studies. Nomination  Requirements

You must have a recognized organization or individual in Australia (who must be a permanent resident, or an Australian citizen, or an eligible New Zealand citizen) who can nominate you for a GTI visa. For visa nomination, the nominator must have a national reputation in the field same as you, and they are not required to provide you with employment in Australia.

Age Requirements

You can be of any age to apply for this visa but if you are under 18 years or 55 years or older then you must be exceptionally beneficial for the Australian community.

English Language Criteria

You must have functional English, and be required to meet Australian health and character requirements.

Application Process for Global talent visa Subclass 858

Before you apply, you must go through health examinations.

Step 1: Expression of Interest

You are first required to submit EOI using the Global Talent Contact form on the department of home affairs website.

If you meet the government-defined criteria, then you will be given a unique invitation number and invitation reference identifier. If your EOI is unsuccessful then you can explore other visa options by the Australian government.

Documents Requirements:

• You must provide accurate information and you are required to provide identity documents which include
• • a passport which is showing your photo, personal details, passport expiry date, and issue date.
  • a national identity card

If you have been married, widowed, divorced, or separated you must provide proof.

• You must prove your achievements in your eligible field by providing:
  • relevant qualification and awards from internationally recognized institutes or organization
  • supporting statements from the government, professional, scientific, cultural, sporting, or other relevant bodies
  •  a piece of evidence that shows you are extraordinary and have an outstanding record of achievements positioning you among the best in your field.
• Provided documents that support your record of achievements, should also include:
  • a reference from a person or organization to assess your claims
  • proof of international and national awards
  • your achievements displayed in media such as magazines, newspapers, or TV programs.
• You must provide nominator documents that contain a form 1000 nomination for global talent with relevant supporting documents and a statement by your nominator that supports your claim
• You must prove you will establish yourself and get work in Australia in your field. For that, you are required to provide
  • a written document statement detailing your knowledge of opportunities in Australia
  •  information provided by your nominator
  • letters from organizations or other relevant bodies in Australia that show future employment or possible business opportunities
  • qualifications or experience you have gained during the previous residence in Australia
  • your employment or business background
• You will be asked to provide a character document that includes a police certificate from your country or provide Australian police certification if you have spent 12 months or more in Australia in the last 10 years since you turned 16.
• You are required to provide proof of at least a functional English document. If you are 18 years and above and you don’t have proof of at least functional English, then you must buy the second installment of the visa application charge.
• You must provide partner documents which include:
  • identity documents and photos
  • character documents
  • marriage certificate, if applicable
  • documents about other relationships, if applicable

For de facto relationships

• evidence that your relationship is registered by an Australian State or Territory
• enough documents to prove you have been in a de facto relationship for at least 12 months before you apply

For both de facto and married you should provide evidence of:

• joint bank account statements
• billing accounts in joint names
• joint leases or mortgages
• documents that show your partner has lived at the same address as you.

1. • If your dependents are under 18 years old or younger, you should include copies of birth certificates or the family book showing the names of both parents of any dependent children or copies of adoption papers if necessary

If dependents are over 18 years then they must be

• over 18 years of age but not yet turned 23, and dependent on you or your partner, or
• over 23 years of age, and unable to earn a living to support themselves because of physical or cognitive limitations and dependent on you or your partner

Must provide

• identity documents
• documents about their other relationships, if applicable
• character documents

If the child is above 23 years old and he is dependent, then you must provide proof of dependency by providing

• proof of your relationship with the dependent such as a birth certificate or adoption papers
• if the child is aged 23 or is likely to turn 23 while your application is being processed, you must also include a report from a qualified medical practitioner. This must state they are dependent on you or your partner because of the total or partial loss of their bodily or mental functions
• a complete form 47a

You also have to provide proof that the dependent has been financially dependent on you for more than 12 months before you apply for application

Step 3: Apply for Visa

After receiving a unique invitation number and invitation reference identifier on a successful EOI you can lodge a visa via an Immi account.

If you are onshore or offshore at the time of application, then lodge a Global Talent subclass 858 visa. Then submit the application and wait for results and also take a note of the transaction number of application charges submitted to the Australian government.

Step 4: after visa application

After your visa application, you are required to stay lawful while your application is in process. You may be granted a bridging visa when you applied for a global talent visa.

You can add family members after you apply for a visa but it should be before your visa application results. If anything is changed do tell the Australian government and your migration agent which includes:

• changes to your phone number, email, address, or passport
• changes to your marital or de facto status
• the birth of a child
• you want to withdraw your application
